This year, the Iraq war is supposed to cost $12 BILLION A MONTH. Interest on the money borrowed could add $816 billion to that number. No one has even tried to calculate how much Iraq's economy will have to pay off either. Costs have been going up in Iraq despite the declining number of deaths due mainly to the: surge of troops, the rising cost of fuel, and new types of military equipment. Some are projecting that the total amount of money spent on veteran's medical care will be around $422 billion to $717 billion. "ALL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COSTS MIGHT PUSH THE US WAR BILL UP TOWARD $5 TRILLION BY 2017."
