Let's start with New York, shall we?
"State Republicans threatened on Tuesday to impeach New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer if he does not quit over a report linking him to a prostitute that has raised questions over whether he could face criminal charges." - from Yahoo news. Does this not just scream Clinton?! Bill...not Hillary. Obviously, what Governor Spitzer did was wrong and he should pay the consequences. There really is no question about that. But what I would like to confront is the Republican readiness that is so eager to pounce on the occasionally raunchy Democrat. Clinton was impeached. He DID lie under oath, but that is honestly not treason or a high crime/misdemeanor. It was a morality issue. As the Yahoo news quote stated, Republicans are all ready concerned with impeaching him if he does not resign. Can we review the Republican sex scandals and affairs please? Larry Craig, Mark Foley, Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani...How many of them were kicked out of office? It has come to my attention that even though these issues are much more frequent among the Republican Party, they are not held as accountable for their actions as the Democrats are. They get their week-long news stories, but that is about it. Now, Spitzer will need to be need to be charged...But I think there are a couple of Republicans that need to have that happen to them too. Everyone needs to pay for their actions. That is all I am saying.
Whew. Now that THAT is done...Mississippi. Obama is expected to win with the high percent of African American voters. One unexpected factor, however, is Republicans. Mississippi does NOT require party affiliation to vote in the primary. They could try and swing the election. Meanwhile, both Clinton and Obama are all ready focusing on PA. But MS is seriously important to both of them b/c whoever loses can still get a chunk of the delegates with Mississippi's system. We'll see.
