And Another One Bites the Dust

Obama nabbed Mississippi tonight...big surprise. He pulled in 90% of the African American vote and only 1/4 of the white vote. Congratulations to Barack Obama for another big win! I think it is safe to say that Barack is the favorite in the south after wins in SC, GA, LA, and now MS.
One quote that really struck me from tonight was when Barack said,"I'm confident that once we get a nominee, the party is going to be unified." From my experience, this election has been a very polarizing one. I used to love Barack Obama back in 2004. But the more I watch of him, I am able to find more that I don't like or I get more angry because he doesn't agree with my choice as the nominee. This election is making people say and do things that they don't really mean. I don't hate Barack. I actually agree with 95% of what he says, but we are being so polarized by being forced to choose between the two of them that we forget that a lot of the time. Yet the quote also struck me as strange because throughout all the speeches and the talk of unifying, we have become more divided. And that is within our OWN party. I don't see how it is going to work for the whole country when in fact, unification has been pushing us apart. Maybe we need more than the dream for now.
