Debate - Philly Style

Everyone has been complaining lately about the debate last night and how pointless it was. Okay...is it really a surprise to anyone that our press is obsessed with pointless stories that never get anyone anywhere?! They have been doing that forever. That is literally like a trademark of our press. That and graphics. The overreaction to a pretty well known fact has been hilarious. As well as the reaction from Obama supporters. All of a sudden, someone gets tough on him, and BAM. There is an instant "WTF?!" from anyone who supports him. Of course he is right in saying basically the whole first 45 minutes were pointless because they were the pointless stories...but they have been doing that to Hillary since (to use her words) day one of her campaign. It's the first time he's ever really been hit hard. He has been talking about it a lot...but it's like get over it. It's like the kid in school that gets a 4.0 and then complains to the kid who always gets a 3.5 that they all of a sudden have a 3.9. It's annoying. I don't see how he would handle the general election. John McCain will be more ruthless than Charlie Gibson for pete's sake. Hillary doesnt take that. She will hit back even harder. Even after those questions were over, I still think Hillary did an exellent job. She outdid him on the issues. She was more straightforward than she usually is and we got a lot out of her. Even some funny moments! Paraphrasing: "I think the Republicans should just apologize for the Bush-Cheney years and just not run anybody!" AWESOME. Oh and "I may be a lot of things, but I'm not dumb." Hahaha DUH. She is a genius. Uggggh.

What Chu Lookin' at Cheney?

The question has been circling around. What exactly was Dick Cheney looking at in this picture? Some would like to go the pervert route and say that he was looking at a naked woman. I beg to differ. It looks more to me like an Abu Ghraib prisoner. That was what I thought the first time I saw it...The smirk only backs my point.
Here....Keith Olberman makes it funnier.

Ps: It was really his hand and fishing rod.

The Clintons are LOADED

The Clinton taxes were released today, and damn. They are so freaking loaded. They had an income of $20.4 million in 2007, coming to more than $109 million since 2000. And people who complain about taxes? Quit complaining, because the Clintons paid $33 million in taxes in the past seven years. They also donated about $10 million to charity during that time.

So how can these tax records help or hurt Hillary? 1. People may think that a person who is so wealthy is not really representative of their personal issues. I think that could be contested though because her demographic is greatly influenced by the less priveliged and so on. 2. People will like how much they have donated. 3. People will finally see that she is not corrpt - if she was, then she would want to keep the tax cuts for the rich. Why? Because she is rich. 4. It is obvious that some people will try and make something negative about this. Maybe because it took so much time to come out. That does seem fishy to an extent; it would be for any politician. Maybe it just took forever to count all that money! Jeez. Come up with your own convictions. I personally don't think this will affect anyone's vote.

Hill Force One

Hillary being funny....AGAIN?!

Tuesday, April 1, 2008

Oh Hillary, You Jest.

Who would have thought that Hillary Clinton would be the candidate to make an April Fool's Joke? She makes the beginning very serious, like something big is about to happen, and then comes the punchline:

Nice Hillary. Good one. It would have been funny if she was like, "I'm dropping out...JUST KIDDING!" The press would have gone wild and more or less insane.

Happy April Fools.
